Love On Top – 4th week at #1 – R&B/Hip-Hop Songs!!!

Love On Top – 4th week at #1 – R&B/Hip-Hop Songs!!!
In a seeming case of chart déjà vu, Drake continues his reign on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, as “The Motto,” featuring Lil Wayne, rules at No. 1 for a second consecutive week.
The routine success of Drake leaves allow plenty of room to focus on a stellar feat accomplished by Beyoncé and her old-school-reminiscent “Love on Top.” The song earns the Greatest Gainer/Airplay award, lifting 4-2 (30 million audience impressions, up 22%, according to Nielsen BDS). Even better, “Love” becomes Queen Bey’s first No. 1 song on the Adult R&B radio tally, where it rises 2-1 in its 19th week (dethroning Robin Thicke’s “Love After War” after three weeks).
A veteran of charting on Adult R&B for close to 10 years as a soloist, Mrs. Carter was previously closest to the top in 2008, when “Until The End of Time,” with Justin Timberlake, reached No. 2. She also placed six songs on the chart in 1998-2005 as a member of Destiny’s Child, rising as high as No. 10 with 2005′s “Girl.”
Back at the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs ranch, Wale remains at No. 3 for a second week with “Lotus Flower Bomb,” featuring Miguel. The song has been cemented in the top five – including having logged five weeks at No. 1 – since the first week of December.
Drake’s “Make Me Proud,” featuring Nicki Minaj and the chart’s leader for three weeks before the rapper replaced himself at No. 1 with “The Motto,” drops 2-4. – billboard.com

It’s an exceptionally quiet week on both the Billboard 200 albums and Digital Songs charts. On the former, Beyonce’s “4″ continues to reign at No. 1 for a second week, selling 115,000 (down 63%), while LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem” (featuring Lauren Bennett and GoonRock) holds atop the Digital Songs list with 236,000 (down 9%).
As expected, Beyonce’s fourth solo studio album, “4,” bounds in at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, selling 310,000 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan.
It’s the diva’s fourth solo No. 1 — and fourth studio set to top the list. She’s only the third act — and second woman — to see their first four studio albums debut atop the Billboard 200. Britney Spears did it with her first four between 1999 and 2003 while DMX’s first five all started at No. 1 between 1998 and 2003
“4′s” sales launch is lowest of her four releases: 2008′s “I Am … Sasha Fierce” entered with 482,000; 2006′s “B’Day” bowed with 541,000 and 2003′s “Dangerously In Love” started with 317,000.
Of course, “4″ is thus far lacking a smash hit single, which could help explain the album’s softer entry. Its lead track, “Run the World (Girls),” peaked at No. 29 on the Billboard Hot 100 — the first time the first single from a Beyonce studio set has missed the top 10.
Still, “4′s” bow is pretty big for 2011. It marks the third-largest sales week of the year, after the No. 1 bows of Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” (1.1 million) and Adele’s “21″ (351,000).
Also arriving in the top 10 this week is rapper Big Sean’s debut album “Finally Famous” (No. 3 with 87,000), Selena Gomez & the Scene’s third set “When the Sun Goes Down” (No. 4 with 78,000), David Cook’s sophomore effort “This Loud Morning” (No. 7 with 46,000) and Scotty McCreery’s Wal-Mart exclusive five-song (and $5) EP “American Idol Season 10 Highlights” (No. 10 with 40,000).
