Sony Pictures is collaborating with Ryan Murphy on a new musical comedy pitch titled “One Hit Wonders.” And guess who will star the movie… Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, Cameron Diaz, Beyoncé and Andy Samberg.
Ryan Murphy, known for his work for Glee, “Eat, Pray, Love” and more, will write the script together with Brad Falchulk and Ian Brennan and will produce it with Gwyneth. Ryan is currently working on another project, but he hopes he can start with this project as soon as the current project is done.
Plot:

Paltrow, Witherspoon and Diaz will play three singers who each scored a top hit song in the 1990s before watching their careers go down the drain. They decide to form a super group.

Samberg and his Lonely Island cohorts will be involved in generating music for the film. The project came out of a dinner Murphy had at the Soho House with Paltrow, Diaz and Witherspoon. They wanted to do something fun together and kicked around ideas until they settled on One Hit Wonders. – blog.martianleaks.com

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have reportedly been asked to perform at the royal wedding reception.

Prince William and Kate Middleton are said to be big fans of the married entertainers and the Daily Star Sunday reports that the pair have accepted the offer.

“Both William and Kate are massive fans of Beyoncé and Jay-Z,” a source said. “They really wanted to make their big day even more special and what better way than by getting pop royalty to perform at the party?

“Will and Kate will have an official reception for hundreds of dignitaries before throwing a less formal bash for loved-ones. They both wanted to ditch traditions and make it more personal for them.

“Jay-Z and Beyoncé are both in Europe at the moment while she promotes her new single ‘Run The World (Girls)’. So it’s highly likely they have taken up the Royals’ offer. After all, who would turn down a once-in-a-lifetime gig like that?”

It was recently reported that beer had been banned from the big day.

Joe McElderry was so determined not to miss a minute of a Beyonce Knowles concert that he almost wet himself.

Joe McElderry once almost wet himself at a Beyonce Knowles concert.

The 19-year-old singer was once so excited to see his idol in the flesh he refused to go to the toilet and spent almost the entire show desperate to relieve himself because he didn’t want to miss any of her songs.

He told BANG Showbiz: “I went to see her. And I was desperate for the toilet and I would not leave in case I missed a tiny bit. My cousin was like, ‘Just go to the toilet,’ I just kept saying, ‘No! I’m not going!’ ”

Joe – who shot to fame after winning UK TV talent show ‘The X Factor’ last year – would love to work with the ‘Single Ladies’ singer in the future, if the opportunity ever arises, because he thinks she is so incredible.

He said: “Beyonce is the top one. She’s amazing. She acts the songs. And she has got the right balance between it all and she just connects with the cameras. She outdoes her dancers. Her dancers are flagging and she is still going! That takes a lot.”

As well as Beyonce, Joe has a huge list of people he wants to collaborate with, including his former ‘X Factor’ mentor Cheryl Cole.

He added: “I think it might be interesting if I could a duet with someone who wasn’t the same kind of style as me. Someone like Ne-Yo. Create a quirky sound! Or Rihanna.

“Cheryl – she is an amazing performer and singer and she’s fantastic so I’d be honoured to work with her! But it depends, I suppose. You never know what’s going to happen.”

Yes, with Alicia Keys due any time during December and being in no fit state to continue with the planned re-release promotion of “The Element of Freedom” album and not forgetting “The Greatest Hits” LP, it’s now becoming even more clear that these projects will not see the light of day.

With Alicia Keys recently parting with management, which is most likely now to be replaced by new husband and hit producer Swizz Beatz. Be side all the dramas around her, it was confirmed today that the single “Put It In A Love Song” has been cancelled for any further promotion and release. SME (Sony Music Entertainment) stated that “the record was now far overdue, and would not place among those records out now. It would not get what it deserves in the current market” – In all fairness, the hype around the track has been killed and true to the point that “Put It In A Love Song” would epically fall out of any chart if released tomorrow.

As for the much awaited video featuring Beyonce, it will be available to download only through purchase however will then not be placed on youtube…huh? If you ask me, they waited too long for people to get excited about the project, people waited and waited – waited so long we forgot what we was waiting for!

Alicia Keys is currently on honeymoon and expects herself to be back in the studio as soon as her baby is born!

Unknown Scot scouted by Jay-Z to wring songs for Beyonce

Posted on : 22-08-2010 | By : Andi | In : News, Rumors

AN UNKNOWN songwriter has been snapped up by hip-hop titan Jay-Z’s Roc Nation outfit to write songs for superstars Beyonce and Rihanna.

Josh Owen, 25, has just signed a publishing deal with the huge label – even though he only set out to get the odd job as a session guitarist.

After being encouraged to try his hand as a songwriter, he landed the lucrative, chance of a lifetime deal to write for superstar rapper Hova.

Josh, from Glasgow, told Email: “It is quite hard to believe all this. They have people like Beyonce, Rihanna, the Ting Tings. Big players. For a lad writing demos in his studio in Glasgow to be connected with the biggest American stars is amazing.

“Roc Nation’s plan is for me to write for these massive stars. I get an email each week asking me to write such and such a song for a certain artist.

“When that mail drops saying the artist is Beyonce, it will be pretty amazing.”

Josh admits he is nervous at the prospect of penning hits for such iconic singers – because he does not know much about hip hop.

He is busy swotting up on all things rap ahead of a trip out to meet the moguls at Roc Nation later this year.

Josh said: “It’s bizarre that it’s this company, a New York-based, hip hop to the core label, who want me rather than the guitar or pop specialists.

“There are plans for me to go out later this year to meet various people, like the guy who first heard my material, Jay Brown, one of the CEOs.

“Before that I really need to add strings to my bow, as hip hop is not my strong suit. I need to make a big effort to build my knowledge.

“I have already written for big artists, but I can’t say who they are because I haven’t yet had confirmation of whether they are using the tracks.”

Josh’s road to stardom started simply – he posted songs on MySpace to try to land session work.

He explained: “I set up my MySpace page three years ago to try to get a bit of work as a session musician.

“I wanted to do a bit of travelling and if I could have paid the mortgage doing that I’d have been well chuffed.

“I wrote a few poppy songs just to showcase my guitar-playing and stuck them on there.

“I got a fair bit of interest from London labels and publishing companies, which was a big surprise – they were asking me to write more songs rather than just play guitar.

“So I did -and ended up getting signed by Crown Music Management, who look af ter El l ie Goulding, Sugababes, Noisettes and people like that.

“That’s when it all started to happen as they have really pushed me and believed in me.

“Crown want me to put out an artist album next year, so I am keeping some songs back for myself, too.”

”Bootylicious” Bee, Kim Kardashian trigger a trend for padded panties

Melbourne, July 23 (ANI): Stars like Beyonce and Kim Kardashian with their heavy derrieres have sparked a trend for undergarments that amplify women’s rear ends.

Booty Pop is a new brand of underwear that is selling like hot pancakes by giving that much-required boost to women’s posterior.

For ages, women have wriggled into girdles and other slimmers to minimize their butts, but it has changed now.

“It”s not so hot to have a pancake a** these days,” News.com.au quoted 26-year-old Montreal wedding planner Azar Jazestani as saying.

Tara Rachel Benson, who favours the Booty Pop brand of underwear says the panties, which contain egg-shaped foam pads to plump up the posterior, are “part of the whole outfit”.

On Booty Pop”s late-night infomercials, which began airing in December, viewers are entreated to “forget about doing endless squats – and cosmetic surgery, who can afford that?” as models prance around in tight jeans flaunting their backsides.

Booty Pop is hoping to sell close to one million pairs of padded underwear this year.

However, Booty Pop is not the only company seeking a boost from behind.

Early next year, Maidenform Brands plans to introduce a “Jean Collection” – internally called “Project Injeanious” – containing bottom shapers.

At lingerie retailer Frederick”s of Hollywood, the “Booty Boy Short” is currently the No. 2 top-selling shaping item online.

Victoria”s Secret introduced the “bum booster” in January in some outlets, and a spokeswoman says it is selling well. (ANI)
